7.       Past Perfect

a.    He had painted the fence in green. (Verb)
(Dia telah mengecat pagar dengan warna hijau.) had= past participle dari auxiliary “have”

b.     Budi went to Kuningan Plaza after he had finished his homework.(Verb)(Budi pergi ke Kuningan Plaza setelah dia menyelesaikan PRnya)

8.       Past Perfect Continous

a.       The labors had been demonstrating for two hours before you came.(Verb)
(Para buruh telah berdemonstrasi selama dua jam sebelum kamu datang.)

b.      I had been sleeping for two hours when somebody knocked the door.(Verb)

            (Saya telah tidur selama dua jam ketika seseorang mengetuk pintu)
